Configuring One-to-One NAPT on the USR8200

Note: The USR8200 must be using firmware version 3.10.20.17 or later in order to configure One-to-One NAPT.
  1. Launch a Web browser. In the location or address line of your Web browser, type http://usr8200 to access the Web-based Management.

  2. When the user name and password window appears, type in your user name and the password you created. Click OK to load the router's setup page..

  3. Note: Your session will automatically time-out after a few minutes of inactivity. If you try to operate the management console after the session has expired, the Login screen will appear and you will have to re-enter your user name and password before proceeding. This feature helps to prevent unauthorized users from accessing the Web-based Management and changing the USR8200 Firewall/VPN/NAS settings.

  4. Click Network Connections in the left menu.

  5. Click the Edit icon for your WAN connection (e.g. WAN Ethernet).

  6. Click Settings.

  7. Click New IP Address.

  8. Fill in the static IP information:
    1. IP Address: This is an additional static IP address you own or are leasing from your Internet provider.

    2. Subnet Mask: This is the subnet which your IP address falls into.

    Click OK.

  9. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for any additional IP addresses you wish to assign to the USR8200 WAN interface.

  10. Click Security in the left menu.

  11. Click Advanced Filtering.

  12. Under "Input Rule Sets" click Initial Rules.

  13. Click New Entry.

  14. Fill in the necessary data for the WAN IP that you want redirected to the LAN Server:
    1. Source IP Address: Leave this as Any unless you want to make the connection to the server more secure by only allowing one person to use it (or more by duplicating this rule with other IPs that you want to allow to the server in this field).

    2. Destination IP Address: Change this to Single and enter the WAN IP address you want to redirect to the LAN server.

    Select Redirect and fill in the LAN IP address for the server.

  15. Choose the services (ports) you wish to redirect to this server. For example, to redirect all internet traffic from this WAN IP address, check All Traffic.

  16. Click OK to save your changes.

  17. Repeat steps 12 though 15 for additional One-to-One NAPT configurations.
