U.S. Robotics Increases Incentives for Value-Added-Resellers

Chicago (July 5, 2005)– U.S. Robotics increased the incentives for value-added-resellers (VARs) enrolled in the company’s Business Connection Program, Tom Pryzgoda, director of global marketing, announced today. The program provides VARs with the tools and resources to help them increase margins and generate new business.

“This program has always been about helping resellers maximize their profits and increase sales,” says Pryzgoda. “The changes we’ve made to it will help smaller VARs by lowering the participation level; we’ve also increased the quarterly sales incentives and will continue to provide all of the participants with the tools and support they require, including a greater focus on lead generation.”

Previously structured with three sales categories, the enhanced Business Connection Plus Program now features two tiers, with partners divided into those with quarterly sales of $3,000 to $14,999 and those with sales of more than $15,000. VARs that participate in the Quarterly Rebate program can expect increases of up to 50% depending on the category of products sold and their participation level.

Additional enhancements to the program include:

  • Increased Discounts: Government and educational organizations now enjoy a six percent discount off the purchase of all products;
  • Additional Inside Sales Support: To answer pre-sales questions and present VARs with complete solutions based upon their individual application needs;
  • Seed Unit Availability: VARs with customers interested in specific solutions are now able to request units for application testing and functionality;
  • Incentive Programs: Designed to stimulate sales teams within our VAR partners, daily and monthly prize giveaways of hot electronic devices.

“These changes are a direct result of our VARs telling us what they’d like to see,” Pryzgoda says. “They sell our products every day; we value each and every one of those relationships and are constantly looking to improve them.”
