USRobotics Unveils New Web site, Logo, Branding

Chicago (October 18, 2005)– USRobotics, a leader in Internet access and networking, announced a comprehensive redesign of its Web site, logo, and marketing materials today. The company, long recognized as a leader in Internet connectivity products, recently decided to revitalize its look and feel to make it more available to its customers.

“USRobotics’ products are favored by home users and small- to medium-business owners - we felt our new branding needed to first appeal to them, not only in style but also in substance,” says Director of Global Marketing Tom Pryzgoda. “We also wanted the company to be accessible to the new markets into which we are reaching and developed a brand that will translate well to those markets.”

The new Web site (www.usr.com) reflects not only the company’s shift, but utilizes advancements in Web technology. The new site features the latest standards to ensure that the site loads quickly and is accessible by a wide variety of users, including those with different browsers or those using handheld devices. Simplified content presentation will allow search engines to drill deeper and present more relevant results, while improved navigation presents the users with the information they need in fewer clicks.

Featured prominently on the new site and throughout all company materials are lifestyle images showcasing how USRobotics products can be used, including scenes from homes, home offices, and small businesses. Composed entirely of custom images featuring USRobotics employees and their families, the new campaign adds another dimension to the brand giving it a “real life” look and feel. The corporate logo was also modernized to provide a fresh, new look for the company.

“As a company, we are more focused than ever on the needs of our customers and how they use our products,” says Pryzgoda. “Showing real people, using real products, in real situations allows our customers to understand what is capable with USRobotics.”

A new advertising campaign featuring these images, the new logo, and new product packaging are expected to begin appearing immediately. The new ads focus on the three key audiences for USRobotics’ products – consumers, home office users, and small- to medium-sized businesses.
