Note: It is critical that the AP have a valid IP Address before trying to update the firmware. Since the update process uses TFTP, a valid network IP Address is required. 0.0.0.0 is not a valid IP address. 1. Print these instructions. 2. Download the *.bin file located on the 5450 support page. 3. Launch the U.S. Robotics Wireless AP Configuration Utility. Double-click the Access Point in the Available AP list. This will launch the Web Configurator of the Access Point. Log in. (The default User Name is admin with no password.) 4. Click Tools. 5. It is recommended that you save your current settings before upgrading. Click the Backup button and follow the on-screen instructions. 6. Click the Browse button adjacent to the Firmware Upgrade section to locate the new firmware file. When you locate the file, click Open. 7. Click the Upgrade button to begin. After the firmware is updated, you will see a The device is restarting message. Wait approximately 30 seconds before you click Back on the Web Configurator page. 8. Click Status to verify the firmware has been upgraded.
