The Wireless ADSL2+ Router provides a Web User Interface (WUI) you can use to configure the router to meet your networking needs. The WUI also lets you view statistics in order to monitor network activity.

Under normal operating conditions, you do not need to change the basic configuration that you established when you installed your router. However, if your network environment changes, you may need to reconfigure your router to reflect the new environment. For example, you may need to change your configuration settings if you:

Browser Configuration

Before you log in to the router's WUI, confirm that your Web browser is configured for an Ethernet connection to the Internet. You may also need to disable the HTTP Proxy feature of your web browser. Refer to your browser's documentation for instruction in disabling that feature.

To ensure proper screen refresh after a command entry, ensure that Internet Explorer is configured as follows:

  1. Under the Tools menu, select Internet Options > General > Temporary > Internet Files > Settings.
  2. In Check for newer versions of stored pages select Every visit to the page.

 

Logging In to the Web User Interface

  1. Start you Web browser.
  2. In the location or address line, type: http://192.168.2.1 and press ENTER to access the router configuration Web user interface.

  3. Enter your password and click LOGIN.

Note: There is no default password for the router, so if you have not set a password, just click LOGIN.

 

Using the Web User Interface

Configurable parameters have a text box or a drop-down list. Once a configuration change has been made on a page, click SAVE SETTINGS or NEXT at the bottom of the page to enable the new setting. The Advanced Setup screen and the menus on the left side of the screen let you access the available settings for your router.
