I want to change the setting from Static IP to Dynamic IP via the utility but I'm experiencing difficulties doing so.

If you want to change the setting from Static IP to Dynamic IP via the utility, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Configuration Utility and edit a profile. Follow the on-screen instructions until you reach the IP Setting field.
  2. From the IP Setting field, select Enable and click Next, as demonstrated in the graphic below:

  3. In the DHCP Status field, select Enable and click Complete, as demonstrated in the graphic below:

  4. From the Profile tab, click Connect to the network that you just edited and make sure the Static IP address disappears by clicking More in the Link Status tab.
  5. You are now able to switch to a different network.
