How do I configure Remote Management on my USR8054?
Note: The default remote management port is 8080, but can be changed if necessary. If the port number is modified, enter a port number that does not conflict with other well known services on your network. For example, do not enter port 80. This will conflict with an internal web server. Click Apply. Note: If you want to limit the range of IP addresses that have access to your router from the Internet, you can specify a range in the Remote IP Range From section. In the following example, only the computers connected to the Internet with an IP address between 67.23.123.1 thru 67.23.124.254 will be able to remotely access the router. You can also limit remote management to a single IP address by entering the IP address twice. For example, enter 67.23.123.1 To 67.23.123.1 in the Remote IP Range From section. Only the computer connected to the Internet with an IP address of 67.23.123.1 will be able to remotely access the router.
Remotely accessing the USR8054In the location or address bar of your Web browser, you will need to type in your router's WAN IP address followed by the port number specified in the Remote Managment section. The WAN IP address and the port number should be separated by a colon. Example: http://68.12.25.16:8080 The following steps will help you identify your WAN IP address and remote management port number. |
