Running out of storage space? The typical solution is to add a larger or additional (internal or external) drives where needed. Data storage attached directly to the network with the capability for management is a better solution. This is known as Network Attached Storage (NAS).
There are a few NAS options from NAS adapters to full NAS boxes. Adapters can allow network access to a USB hard drive but . NAS boxes normally 1 or more hard disks and can be easily replaced after a disk failure with RAID (redundant arrays of independant disks) installations.
Adding “incremental” storage increases management complexity, especially the difficulty in managing back-ups Designed to provide fast, scalable and reliable data access Storage topologies offer a variety of optional configurations to meet demanding requirements Delivers the storage needed wherever it is required on the network Provides an easily implemented client back-up protocol, protecting critical data resources
